Little Gaff Boats Cushion
Three little gaff boats sailing along decorate our rectangular sailcloth cushions.
You can choose to have the cushions made in white or red recycled eco friendly sailcloth. However if unavailable, we use new top quality sailcloth.
Vanessa designed this pattern, taking inspiration from the Christmas Carol, 'I saw three ships go sailing by on Christmas Day....."
This charming pattern with its nautical style looks good throughout the year.
Each cushion is unique, the sailcloth shapes are cut out by hand and stitched onto the cushion with traditional sailmakers zigzag stitch with U.V. resistant thread.
They are popular for anyone who loves the sea and messing about in boats, - they are great in the conservatory, children's rooms, cabins and on deck.
Pilates teachers encourage the use of a cushion for support when sitting on a chair or behind a wheel, and these rectangular cushions are ideal.
NB. These particular red cushions are made from a mainsail off the Redwing No 18 "Red Gauntlet". This mainsail won Cowes Week for five years in a row and was made by Paul in 1987. This red cloth is exclusive to the Redwing class here at Bembridge and is ever popular.
The cushion pad is made from polyester and is removable by way of an envelope opening at the back.
Dimensions: 60cm x 40cm
Care instructions: Wash gently by hand at 30 degrees centigrade with eco-friendly washing powder. Shape and hang to dry naturally. Please do not be tempted to iron. Do not add bleach, dry clean or tumble dry.
